‘DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED’
|
Libby Pattison's response to the 'Wilderness' theme comes in the form of an oil painting, entitled 'Diametrically Opposed'.
“This piece depicting two of my friends aims to show wilderness through the natural landscapes in Emma, and contrasting that the industrial scenes in Josh. The natural wilderness is creeping in, as if to resist the challenges brought by humanity. I also like the idea of industrial wilderness, with a lack of life due to the industrial wasteland." Of her work in general, Libby says, “I haven’t quite found a style yet, but i’m currently enjoying experimenting with portraiture. I love to paint and draw, with my friends and family often ending up my subjects after some bribing." Check out Libby's blog for more artwork and illustrations. |
